Add your voice to Voices For Bethlehem!

Dallas Bethlehem Center News, StarBright, StarBright 2015

The chairs are arranged; the piano’s been tuned; the music packets have been filled… all we need is you!

Sunday, January 11, 2015, marks a milestone event: the birth of Dallas’ newest community choir!  And… we want to be sure you’re here to celebrate!

“Voices For Bethlehem,” made up of singers (from predominantly United Methodist congregations) from all across the Metroplex, is being formed with one singular mission in mind: to lift our voices to raise money and awareness for Dallas Bethlehem Center. As many of you already know, Dallas Bethlehem Center is dedicated to being the success readiness center for school and life in its South Dallas service area.

In preparation for the StarBright Concert, we begin rehearsals this Sunday afternoon, January 11, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Preston Hollow United Methodist Church6315 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, 75230. We plan to rehearse for six weeks, with our last rehearsal on February 15.

No worries, this music need not be memorized!

I sincerely hope you will plan to be a part of this exciting, and truly unique “mission” opportunity! I know our singing will warm hearts, stir imaginations, and will inspire people to take action and truly make a difference in the lives of people in the community.

The “StarBright….A Gathering of Light”  concert event will be held at the beautiful Eisemann Center in Richardson at 8:00 pm, Friday, February 20 (with dress rehearsal earlier that afternoon). This event will not only feature the “Voices For Bethlehem” Choir, but also The Bethlehem Center Dance Troupe; an African Drum and Dance troupe; and a Children’s Choir.  We are thrilled that each of these ensembles features the very children served by Dallas Bethlehem Center!
