Food Security Issue in South Dallas: STAR of HOPE 2016

Dallas Bethlehem Center News, StarOfHope 2016

Dallas Bethlehem Center is a place of HOPE in South Dallas.

We help children and families who HOPE for their next meal.

DBC is a STAR of HOPE!

South Dallas is a “Food Desert” by USDA standards. When you add low incomes and half the children residing with seniors on fixed social security incomes, food is a major issue. It is not a surprise that per Feeding America, our service area is ripe with children who do not know from where or when they will receive their next meal.

Dallas Bethlehem Center is one answer to that question as we provide more than 250 meals each week to hungry children and distribute over 10,000 pounds of groceries each month to 750 people.

Watch what Danny Glover has to say about Food Security and Dallas Bethlehem Center:

You can help alleviate food insecurity for children and families in South Dallas by making a Gift of HOPE.

$100 provides one family of 4 nutritionally balanced food for a week!
