Opportunities Right Now at DBC:

Front Desk Assistant

Use your organizational skills to answer phones, help with filing, and greet neighbors at Dallas Bethlehem Center. You will be supporting the administrative assistant and report to the executive director.

  • Monday through Friday | 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • MinistrySafe & Background check required – must be 21 years of age or older

Bethlehem Market’s Food Distribution Program

CCS Collaboration – Open Enrollment/Food Distribution

Use your gift of hospitality to help a neighbor feel hope during a time where an emergency box of food will not only provide added food assistance but also nourishment.

  • Thursdays | 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • MinistrySafe required – must be 12 years of age (with parental waiver) or older
Garden Helpmates

Use your green thumb to help sustain a network of community gardens within the South Dallas Fair Park area. DBC neighbors are passionate about seeking a second healthier option for their food source. We need your help to maintain the momentum with crop planning, planting, and sustaining the garden area.

  • 2nd Saturday of each month | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
  • Background check required – must be 18 years of age or older

Star Breakfast Club

Church and Corporate Collaboration

Join our neighbors in providing a wonderful fresh breakfast each Saturday focused on a theme that enhances, educates, and empowers the whole family with workshop on tutoring/life skills, community gardening, performance arts and letters, and nutrition/cooking. Volunteers are needed to work with groups to create, organize, and implement the weekly scheduled event so that the star outcomes are truly spiritually transforming acts of renewal for the community.

Star Sports and Recreation

Dallas Police Athletic League Collaboration

Volunteers are needed to work one-on-one or with groups to create and implement life skills and development with learn and play as an outcome.

  • Monday – Sunday | Call Community Program’s Manager to inquire about dates (see contact information below)
  • MinistrySafe & Background check required – must be 18 years of age or older

Computer Room Guide

Community Partners Program Collaboration

It takes a Star like you to keep the computer room open! Help our neighbors utilize the DBC Computer Room to update their resume, update and renew state and local direct services provided by the Texas Health and Human Services website.

  • Monday, Friday, Saturdays | Flexible Hours
  • MinistrySafe & Background check required – must be 18 years of age or older

Off-site Projects Anytime!

  • Bethlehem Market’s Food Assistance Program – Your church, school, or family can help a household with multiple meals a month by collecting non-expired shelf, dry, and frozen food items for our Friday Market. We call them “Gleaming” Baskets.
  • School Supply and Uniform Drive in the Summer
  • Christmas Star Tree gifts by December 15th – maximum $50 per child
  • Easter Eggs for Extravaganza

Custom projects are created for VBS teachers during summer camp, field trip sponsor/chaperone, and construction and clean-up campus projects. To sign up or inquire more about a volunteer opportunity, contact:
